Before you begin
Connections belong to the active QuippyAI workspace. Choose the right workspace and provider account before authorizing anything.
Choose the workspace
Switch to the QuippyAI workspace that should own the connection.
Confirm access
Use a ClickUp or Canva account that can reach the intended work.
Check billing
The workspace needs an active trial, subscription, or complimentary grant.
Coordinate changes
Ask a workspace owner or administrator to manage shared connections.
Connect and map ClickUp
First connect one ClickUp account and Workspace, then map each QuippyAI client to the ClickUp List where new tasks should go.
Connect the ClickUp Workspace
- 1Open Settings → Integrations in the intended QuippyAI workspace.
- 2Select Connect ClickUp, sign in, and authorize the Workspace or Workspaces QuippyAI may access.
- 3If more than one Workspace was authorized, choose the intended one after returning to Settings.
- 4Confirm that the badge says Connected and the right Workspace name appears.
Map a client to a ClickUp List
- 1Open the destination List in ClickUp. Its List ID is the number immediately after
/l/or/li/in the address. - 2In QuippyAI, open Clients and select the client.
- 3Paste the ID into ClickUp List ID. Add an optional friendly label.
- 4Select Save mapping, then create one manual test task.
Create, link, and refresh ClickUp tasks
Accept an AI suggestion before using its integration controls. Suggested commitments stay under human review until you approve them.
Create a new ClickUp task
- 1Open Commitments and accept the suggestion if needed.
- 2Confirm that its client has a ClickUp List mapping.
- 3Select Create ClickUp task.
- 4When the link finishes creating, use Open in ClickUp.
Link an existing ClickUp task
- 1Open the task in ClickUp and copy its raw task ID.
- 2Paste the ID into Link ClickUp task URL.
- 3Select Link. A client List mapping is not required.
- 4Use the raw ID if a copied full ClickUp URL does not work.
What QuippyAI sends when creating a task
The ClickUp task receives the commitment title, description, client and requester context, deadline when present, and a secure link back to QuippyAI. Repeated clicks are designed not to create duplicate tasks.
Recognized ClickUp statuses
Custom statuses remain visible, but QuippyAI does not guess what they mean.
| ClickUp | QuippyAI |
|---|---|
| To do, Open | Open |
| In progress | In progress |
| Client review | Waiting on client |
| Internal review, Review | Waiting internally |
| Complete, Closed, Done | Done |
Refresh
Pull the latest ClickUp status and assignee now.
Open
Continue execution in the linked ClickUp task.
Unlink
Remove the relationship without deleting the ClickUp task.
Status flow is mainly ClickUp → QuippyAI. QuippyAI status, owner, deadline, and priority edits do not update ClickUp in this release. Use manual refresh for an immediate update; background reconciliation is not real time.
Connect Canva
QuippyAI requests access to design metadata, folders, and asset metadata. The design content remains in Canva.
Authorize the Canva account
- 1Open Settings → Integrations in the intended QuippyAI workspace.
- 2Select Connect Canva, sign in, and approve the requested access.
- 3Return to QuippyAI and confirm that the Canva badge says Connected.
- 4If shown, a client-level Canva folder ID is optional and currently acts as a saved reference only.
The connected Canva account must already be allowed to open a design. Attaching a design in QuippyAI does not grant new Canva permissions to teammates.
Attach and manage Canva designs
Attach an existing design to an accepted commitment. A single commitment can hold several Canva design links.
Attach a design
- 1Open the design in Canva and copy its normal browser URL or raw design ID.
- 2In QuippyAI, open Commitments and accept the suggestion if needed.
- 3Paste the URL or ID into Attach Canva design link.
- 4Select Attach. QuippyAI verifies access through the connected Canva account.
Use the design controls
- Edit in Canva opens the design in Canva.
- Refresh design metadata refreshes the saved title and temporary edit/view links.
- Unlink removes the QuippyAI association without deleting the design.
- Creative review state records a workflow stage in QuippyAI only.
QuippyAI creative review states
These labels do not change Canva approvals, comments, permissions, or design state.
Canva edit and view links are temporary. If a link or title is stale, select Refresh design metadata. There is no background Canva refresh in this release.
Connect Toggl and add time context
Toggl Track remains the source of truth. Quippy imports recorded time, asks you to confirm uncertain mappings, and uses your organization’s own history for planning ranges.
Connect the workspace
- 1A workspace owner or administrator opens Settings → Toggl time intelligence.
- 2Copy the API token from the intended Toggl profile, paste it into QuippyAI, and select Connect Toggl.
- 3Choose the Toggl Workspace before importing time, then map each QuippyAI client to its Toggl client or project IDs.
- 4Select Sync now, then review any time that Quippy could not confidently map.
Let teammates use timers
- 1Each teammate connects their own Toggl API token under Your Toggl account.
- 2Open Time or an eligible commitment and select Start timer.
- 3Stop the timer in QuippyAI or Toggl. Quippy writes time only for a timer action the person explicitly requests.
- 4Disconnecting a personal token removes that person’s timer access without disconnecting the workspace integration.
Review first
Uncertain time stays out of client totals and financial metrics until someone confirms its mapping.
Plan with ranges
Commitment estimates show a low-to-high range, confidence, and comparable-work evidence instead of false precision.
Control financial access
Labor cost settings and detailed team-time controls stay with workspace owners and administrators.
Troubleshooting
Integrations is missing
Ask the deployment owner to enable and configure the provider.
Connecting opens Billing
The active workspace needs an active trial, subscription, or access grant.
Reauthorization required
Select Reauthorize in Settings and approve access again.
Create ClickUp task is missing
Accept the commitment, assign its client, select a ClickUp Workspace, and map the client to a List.
A ClickUp URL will not link
Paste the raw task ID and confirm that the connected account can access it.
ClickUp is stuck on Creating or Sync error
Unlink it, verify the List ID and permissions, then create the task again.
Missing in ClickUp
Check whether the task was deleted or archived. The QuippyAI commitment is preserved.
A Canva design will not attach
Use a normal Canva design URL or raw ID and confirm access through the connected account.
Canva title or edit link is stale
Select Refresh design metadata.
Toggl is missing
Ask the deployment owner to enable Toggl time intelligence.
No Toggl time was imported
Confirm that an administrator selected a Toggl Workspace, then select Sync now.
A timer will not start
Connect your own Toggl API token and confirm that it belongs to the connected Toggl Workspace.
Time is missing from client totals
Open Time and confirm or manually assign the entry; uncertain matches are excluded by design.
Current release boundaries
Use the manual creation, linking, attachment, and refresh controls as the dependable workflows for this release.
- ClickUp automatic task creation may be visible, but it is not wired end to end.
- Real-time ClickUp webhooks and ClickUp task import do not have user controls.
- Creating, exporting, browsing, or commenting on Canva designs is not available in QuippyAI.
- Automatic Toggl webhook updates depend on deployment configuration; Sync now remains the dependable manual refresh.
- Each QuippyAI workspace supports one ClickUp connection and one Canva connection.
